MEMORY AND COGNITIVE ASSESSMENTS

Are you concerned about your memory and other thinking abilities, such as reasoning and judgment?

The Memory and Cognitive Assessment involves assessing your memory functioning and other thinking abilities, such as problem-solving, through the use of standardized measures, for the early detection of dementia, such as Alzheimer disease.

Regardless of whether the changes are age-related or due to a pathological process, specific recommendations will be made to maintain optimal functioning. These recommendations will be tailor-made to address your specific weaknesses.

The cost for a memory and cognitive assessment is: $595.00 . Please note that these assessments are not intended for medical-legal purposes.

NEUROPSYCHOLOGICAL ASSESSMENT

A Comprehensive Neuropsychological Assessment involves assessing an individual's memory, cognition, and behaviour using standardized measures. The purpose of such an assessment is to determine whether patterns of strengths and weaknesses are consistent with known brain-behaviour relationships to inform about neurological dysfunction and relevant diagnoses, such as mild traumatic brain injury or concussion. This assessment typically requires 1.5 days to complete.

The cost for a comprehensive neuropsychological assessment $3000.00 (private) or $3750.00 (non medical-legal, such as Veterans Affairs) . Medical-legal assessments are billed by the hour and, typically, range from $4500.00 to $5000.00 .

PSYCHOLOGICAL ASSESSMENT

A psychological assessment involves the assessment of an individual's mental health for the diagnosis of depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress, or other psychological disorders. The psychological assessment requires approximately 3 hours to complete.

The cost for a psychological assessment (private) is $1950.00 or 2500.00 (medical-legal or insurance companies).

PSYCHO-EDUCATIONAL ASSESSMENT

A psycho-educational assessment involves the assessment of learning and academic skills for the diagnosis of learning disorders, attention deficit disorders, and other developmental, academic, or behavioural difficulties. The psycho-educational assessment requires approximately 6 hours to complete . Many universities require recent documentation of a learning disability to identify the academic accommodations necessary for an individual.

The cost for a psycho-educational assessment is $1800.00 .

PSYCHO-VOCATIONAL ASSESSMENT

A Psycho-vocational assessment involves the assessment of vocational alternatives that are consistent with a person's aptitudes, interests, skills, and physical abilities. This type of assessment is important for individuals who are unable to return to work in their typical job or lifestyle activities due to the restrictions imposed by an injury or disability.

The cost for a psycho-vocational assessment is $2500.00 .
