Are you concerned about your memory and other thinking abilities, such as reasoning and judgment?
The Memory and Cognitive Assessment involves assessing your memory functioning and other thinking abilities, such as problem-solving, through the use of standardized measures, for the early detection of dementia, such as Alzheimer disease.
Regardless of whether the changes are age-related or due to a pathological process, specific recommendations will be made to maintain optimal functioning. These recommendations will be tailor-made to address your specific weaknesses.
The cost for a memory and cognitive assessment is: $695.00. Please note that assessments for medical-legal purposes are billed at a different rate. For specific billing details, please contact our office.
NEUROPSYCHOLOGICAL ASSESSMENT
A Comprehensive Neuropsychological Assessment involves assessing an individual's memory, cognition, and behaviour using standardized measures. The purpose of such an assessment is to determine whether patterns of strengths and weaknesses are consistent with known brain-behaviour relationships to inform about neurological dysfunction and relevant diagnoses, such as mild traumatic brain injury or concussion. The neuropsychological assessment requires that the individual attend our office for 1.5 days.
The approximate cost is $4500-5500, depending on the complexity of factors and quantity of medical documentation to be reviewed. Assessments with Dr. Friesen are billed at $325/hour.
PSYCHOLOGICAL ASSESSMENT

The approximate cost is $3000. Assessments with Dr. Friesen are billed at $325/hour.
PSYCHO-EDUCATIONAL ASSESSMENT
A psycho-educational assessment involves the assessment of learning and academic skills for the diagnosis of learning disorders, attention deficit disorders, and other developmental, academic, or behavioural difficulties. Many universities require recent documentation of a learning disability to identify the academic accommodations necessary for an individual.
The approximate cost is $3000. Assessments with Dr. Friesen are billed at $325/hour.
PSYCHO-VOCATIONAL ASSESSMENT
A psycho-vocational assessment involves the assessment of vocational alternatives that are consistent with a person's aptitudes, interests, skills, and physical abilities.
