Dr. Ingrid Friesen, Ph.D., R. Psych.:

Dr. Friesen, a Registered Psychologist (#1433) is the Founder and Director of the Victoria Memory Clinic. She obtained a doctorate in Neuropsychology, Clinical Psychology, and Life-Span Development at the University of Victoria. Dr. Friesen has 10+ years experience providing psychological and neuropsychological assessments to adults of all ages. She has conducted numerous medical-legal assessments for plaintiff and defence counsel, insurance companies, WorkSafe BC, and ICBC. She has provided expert testimony in the Supreme Court of British Columbia. She also teaches in the Psychology Department at the University of Victoria.

Dr. Zarine Vogel, Ph.D., R.SW.:

Dr. Vogel is a registered Social Worker with a doctorate in Counselling Psychology from the University of Wisconsin, Madison. She has 30+ years of clinical experience in educational, substance abuse prevention and employee assistance program settings. She specializes in working with individuals and couples around stress and anxiety, including critical incident and post-traumatic stress, depression and loss, relationship concerns, career and life transitions, work related issues, and cross cultural challenges. Dr. Vogel has worked extensively with people from different cultural backgrounds and with professionals in various occupations and, in particular, lawyers, chartered accountants, and academics. She also conducts workshops and seminars on mental health topics, does consultation work, and provides life coaching sessions.

Michael P. Boyle MSW, RSW.:

Mr. Boyle is a registered Social Worker with a Master's Degree in Social Work from the University of Alberta and The University of Calgary. His counselling experience is in the area of integrating physical, emotional, spiritual and mental health. Mr. Boyle has specialized training and experience in: Psychosocial Oncology (Cancer Survivorship), Clinical Hypnotherapy, Mindfulness Based Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Critical Incident Stress Management, Grief and Loss, Relationships (Couples and Families), Resolving Workplace Conflict, Sexuality, Self Esteem, and Life Transitions. His practice is strongly influenced by Virginia Satir (family systems), Stephen Gilligan (self relations theory), Jon Kabat-Zinn (mindfulness) and a variety of others. Mr. Boyle has a systemic, holistic and process oriented approach to his work, and integrates principles from behavioural/cognitive and mindfulness into his practice. His current training certificates include Critical Incident Stress Management, and Solution Focused therapy. He incorporates an attitude of curiosity and openness to personal and professional transformation. He works with individuals, couples and families (as defined by the client), and works from the perspective that the symptom of any problem contains the solution.

Laurie Fitzgerald, M.Sc.:

Ms. Fitzgerald provides psychometrician (testing) services to clients of the Victoria Memory Clinic. She also teaches Neuropsychology Test Administration to graduate students in the Psychology Clinic at the University of Victoria.

Ms. Morris provides administrative services to the Victoria Memory Clinic and ensures that clients are well cared for while undergoing assessments and/or treatment.
